Jeremy Warmsley
Profile
Singer-songwriter and composer Jeremy Warmsley signed his first record deal with Transgressive Records aged twenty-two. He went on to release two albums of eclectic songs with the label. He toured and performed with the likes of The Shins, Regina Specktor and Daniel Johnston, before forming the indie-pop nostalgia duo Summer Camp in 2009.
In the following years, Summer Camp released four albums and toured the world before scoring the independent feature documentary Beyond Clueless in 2015, and Jeremy went on to collaborate with that film’s director, Charlie Shackleton, on numerous projects including the BBC’s Fear Itself and the award-winning Fish Story. In 2017 he collaborated with British comedian Simon Amstell on his debut feature Carnage, composing the original score for the mocumentary and creating an emotional Kate Bush-inspired ballad from the perspective of a suicidal cow, performed by Sam Spiro.
In 2019, his Summer Camp bandmate Elizabeth Sankey directed her first feature film, the documentary Romantic Comedy. Jeremy produced the film and wrote the score, with Summer Camp also contributing original songs.
Since then, he’s composed music for feature films including BFI’s Homebound and Undergods, documentaries such as Boobs and Crossing the Wild Frontier, and award-winning podcasts including ‘History’s Greatest Heroes’ presented by Helena Bonham-Carter. His melodic, playful approach and ability to craft score and original songs, has seen him in demand for TV, where his credits include the BBC comedy The Power of Parker, the Netflix show Wanderlust, and the critically acclaimed Channel 4 series Big Mood. He also wrote the theme tune to beloved Cbeebies animation Love Monster.
In 2024, Jeremy released his first solo single in several years, “Dancing On The Moon”, which received radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X, and his second collaboration with Elizabeth Sankey on her documentary Witches, which he again produced and scored. The film had its UK premiere at the London Film Festival, ahead of being available to stream via MUBI later in the year.
